A heartwarming story of love, loss, forgiveness, and acceptance sprinkled with a generous dose of holiday cheer!🎄

Sarah Morgan is fast becoming a favorite author... she does an amazing job of developing wonderful realistic characters... breathing life into them with her words... along with a beautiful storyline her books are quite the treat... this festive story is the perfect bow on top of any Christmas present!🎁

The McBride sisters are coming home to Scotland for Christmas... Suzanne is delighted to have all her girls under the same roof, but there are still some wounds that need to be healed... I appreciated how we got each sister’s point of view, we really got a true glimpse into each of their lives and hearts... Posie had an extremely adventurous side and a budding Romance that was the talk of the town... Beth, was probably the most relatable to me, a mother struggling with the decision to go back to work or not, feeling overwhelmed and under appreciated... Hana, was a reserves workaholic who played her cards close to her vest... each girl had their own triumphs and struggles, and each was impacted by the death of their parents in a different way... Suzanne had her struggles as well, suffering from survivors guilt and determined to succeed in her role as adoptive mother to these three wonderful sisters... so, can these sisters now adults come to terms with things that happened in the past?

The delightful snowy setting of Scotland added a festive vibe to the story... I really felt a connection with all these characters, and wanted nothing but the absolute perfect Christmas for them all! This book truly evoked some strong emotions in me, I felt as though I was living and breathing this book along with these sisters... a wonderful winter read that will make you smile more times then it’ll make you cry.... A book of love, laughter, and life lessons, seasoned with snow and holiday cheer!

Absolutely recommend as the perfect addition to your holiday reeds❄️

The Christmas Sisters edition by Sarah Morgan Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

The Christmas Sisters is a great character-driven read with plenty of Christmas spirit and interesting, interwoven plot strands.

The chapters are split between the three sisters, each very different and each facing their own challenges and worries. The descriptions of the Scottish Highlands and the village are wonderful and paint a lovely winter picture while not intruding or taking over the action of the story.

Their is romance but also intrigue. An excellent Christmas read.
This book kept my attention, it was very heartwarming and appeared to have real life storyline that people can relate to. I have started reading another book by this author and find it is keeping my attention.
I love reading books that make me happy. (I am not a fan of "downer" stories. Life can be scary and sad enough.) But it's hard to find happy books that also feel real - characters you can imagine knowing, dialogue that flows, plots that draw you in. Sarah's books always do that for me, and this one maybe most of all. It's a wonderful read - I've already reread it twice and plan to many more times! I definitely recommend it!
I loved this book. Each of the characters were developed with a depth and complexity that brought them to life. The way Ms. Morgan presented the story kept the reader on the edge of the seat to see what happened next. This story deals with the thoughts and feelings of an authentic tragedy and it handles the reactions in such a way that I wanted to be one of the sisters. Even though many other side stories were happening, Sarah didn't drop the ball with any of those events. Sometimes in a mini story within a story, something gets rushed or left out and that didn't happen with The Christmas Sisters. I was surprised how the story evolved but I loved the ending. The descriptions of the backgrounds made me feel as if I had taken a holiday to the Highlands. Sisters, boyfriends, husbands, parents --- it has something for everyone! Kudos Ms. Morgan
I’ve never had the desire to visit Scotland in the middle of the winter, but somehow Sarah Morgan made freezing temperatures, heaps of snow, and spotty cell signal seem like the best place for a fighting family during the holidays. This book is about three adult sisters and their adoptive mother who are all struggling to balance family obligations and their own past trauma. The perspective changes between the four women chapter to chapter.

Those McBride women find a way to pull you into their stories! I don’t have sisters, but I found myself fascinated by the dynamics between the McBride sisters and their mother. I was completely invested in each storyline. This story reminds you that you can never really be aware of what someone is struggling with, even if they seem like they have it all together; even if they’re a member of your family and you feel like you know them.

On top of an engaging storyline, Ms. Morgan expertly penned complex and multilayered characters all with individual problems, fears, and anxieties. There were surprises, sigh-worthy moments, and a few scenes that brought a tear to my eye, everything I want in a story. One of my favorite aspects is was that Christmas felt more like a frame for the story than a major plot point. While this is a delightful holiday read, it could really be enjoyed at any time because the heart of the stories were the characters, not the time of year.

I did find the plot dragging just a bit at the end, and a few of the heartfelt conversations were a little repetitive, but that didn’t detract from my overall enjoyment of a beautifully written book.

Overall, I can’t believe this is my first Sarah Morgan book! I have absolutely been missing out. I highly recommend this lovely story.
